Grade 4 - Week 6 - Lines

THIS LESSON WILL BE PRESENTED LIVE THIS WEEK DURING OUR SCHEDULED ART TIME. Parallel Patterns with Ms. Kampson Art Supplies: Drawing paper- white or colored Pencil & Eraser Sharpies or black pen Markers Vocabulary:   Parallel lines: lines that run in the same direction; they never touch each other because the distance running between them is always the same. Pattern: a repeating decorative design. Overlap: the placement of objects over one another in order to create the illusion of depth. Laurel Burch with Ms. Kampson Art Supplies: White drawing or watercolor Paper Black Oil Pastel (or any black drawing tool) Watercolors and Paintbrush *If you do not have paint at home, you can easily do this   assignment with crayons, markers, or color pencils.   Vocabulary:   Pattern:   a repeating decorative design. Whimsical:   playfully quaint or fanciful, especially in an appealing and amusing way. Vertical:  lines that move up and down.   Horizontal:  lines that move side to side. Week 6 - Weekly Challenge

Week 6 Art Challenge Square Heads It’s like a puzzle! Cut out the tiles and rearrange them to create different characters.   Art Supplies: Access to Printer Coloring Supplies   Scissors Glue stick Step 1:  Click the  link  and  print  the grid and tiles sheets.   *if you do not have color ink or are running low only print page 1 & 2. Step 2:  Decide if you would like to use the already colored tiles or color your own. If you want to use the already finished tiles skip to the next step. I suggest creating your own tiles with your favorite colors.   To create your own tiles, color in the shapes on the blank grid using  only 4 colors . Since we are creating a face you may want to consider coloring pairs of circles the same color for the eyes.   Step 3:  Cut out the colored tiles along the grid line.
