Kindergarten - Week 3 - Mindful Flowers

Kindergarten Art- Mindful Flowers
Ms. Pattinger

You can design a beautiful garden full of happy flowers and nurture gratitude and joy as you build it. Start by talking about the things they are grateful for.
The gratitude flowers activity teaches kids to:
Appreciate the small things in life,
Be grateful for everything they have,
Be mindful of the things that are going right in their lives
and the people they hold closest to their hearts.
What you need: Colored paper to cut out flower parts, Glue and Scissors
Directions
Find fun colored paper for your gratitude flowers.

1. Start by cutting out a circle for the center of the flower. Make it big enough so that you have ample space to write.

2. Next cut out big petals for the flower. Be creative and experiment with colors. The petals can be any shape.

3. Write down or draw the things you are grateful for on the petals.

4. Glue the petals to the flower center and you have your first gratitude flower!
You can do more to create whole garden of flowers! You can even place the flowers on a wall for an awesome “indoor garden” to which you can return to get a gratitude boost.
